About Us

The Mayflower Project is a not for profit organisation that has developed organically out of the managers' wealth of experience at festivals, in kids areas, care work and mental health settings.

We have our own marquee with all our own equipment (sofas, cushions, blankets, a full band rig, sewing machines, circus toys, Xbox, the list goes on!) and a highly skilled and fully DBS checked crew.

Our marquee is primarily a space for teenagers to hang out. We are there exclusively for teenagers so there's no adults (apart from our crew) and no younger kids allowed.

As The Mayflower Project developed we decided that as well as a space to relax we wanted to offer activities and workshops for teenagers as well. We offer a full programme of workshops including music (jam sessions, open mic and recording), craft (lots of up-cycling and learning new skills), circus, performance, henna, hair braiding, face-painting and loads more!
Everything is offered free of charge to the teenagers so that no one is left out. Now The Mayflower Project teen tent is a space for teenagers to hang out, make new friends, get involved in the workshops, play music, learn new skills or just sit back and enjoy the festival atmosphere. We offer a flexible service to suit any budget so please be in touch to discuss how we can get involved at your event.
